1 – A special treat was the surprise appearance of Bobby Vee.

2 – George Tomsco of the Fireballs, currently performing as a solo act with his backup group, the Seventh Street Legends (below).

3 – Larry Welborn, bass player at Buddy Holly's February, 1957 "That'll Be The Day" session in Clovis, NM.

4 – Legendary session guitarist and Grammy winner Tommy Allsup – guitarist on Buddy Holly's last tour along with Waylon Jennings on bass and Carl Bunch (below) on drums.

5 – Rock & roll collector, archivist, photographer, author and musician extraordinaire Alan Clark who has the Eddie Cochran style down cold.

6 – Donnie Briggs (center) and friends.

7 – Here are the "Seventh Street Legends," George Tomsco's official backup group: Gary and Romona Tollett (among the background singers at the 1957 "That'll Be The Day" session), Peggy Sue Gerron (the original Peggy Sue), Mrs. Robert Linville and David Bigham. David was a member of the Roses which also included Ray Rush and the late Robert Linville. David and Robert are both shown here (Photo 16) at the 1999 Winter Dance Party at the Surf.

8 – Romona, Gary and David are joined by Darlene of the Shackshakers.

9 – In the middle, contributing to the joyful noise, is Carl Bunch.

10 – Shawn Nagy, leader of the Shackshakers and organizer of the 2002 Rock & Roll Dance Party Tour.

11 – Buddy Holly glasses come in all sizes. This specimen is just off Interstate 90/94 on the Dane exit just north of Madison.
